Gordon Brown

Gordon Brown will call a General Election next year and with the three main parties holding their annual conferences I thought I would take the opportunity to work out the party leaders 9 Star Ki astrology.

Today I focus on Gordon Brown – 20 February 1951.

The Prime Minister numbers are: 4-8-1

1st Principal Number (True Inner Nature) 4 - Tree - Wind – Anything from stillness to hurricane.

  • Gentle, sensitive and persistent
  • Independent and determined, yet vulnerable underneath
  • They can take negative remarks and criticism too personally
  • Tend to shy away from confrontation.  Trusting and therefore easily influenced (can appear gullible)
  • Convincing and therefore extremely influential. Most changeable of the nine numbers, ‘4’s cam change their minds, mood and direction in life frequently and impulsively. It is generally easier for ‘4’s to make consistent progress through life, although they tend to need backup and support

2nd Principal Number: (Emotional Nature) 8 - Mountain – Strong, immovable exterior, with a cooler, more withdrawn interior.

  • Most private of the nine numbers. The Prime Minister along with other 8’s will value his own space and can be verbally uncommunicative
  • Single-minded and determined (great drive to get things done)
  • Give impression of being calm and stable, although may react angrily if they sense some form of injustice

3rd principal Number: (Outer / Expressive Nature) 1 – Water – Can  be fast and furious or deep and slow.

  • Can appear either cautious and indecisive or sociable and bubbly
  • Approach work in a logical and objective manner although may worry over little things
  • Water always needs some form of containment

The Prime Minister from the 4 February 2010 will be in a 1 phase, this will last for 12 months. A 1 phase represents deep mid winter; it is a time of still energy when things do not move forward, everything is stagnant with no visible growth.  Recognition will be difficult, friends may keep their distance. 1 is also the journey and career sector of the Bagua so it is clear this is what he is going to be focusing on.

Most people would not consider taking on a large project in mid winter, they would wait until the first signs of spring. I do not see this as an ideal time for the Prime Minister to win an election, unfortunatly he does not have the luxury of being able to wait as the election must be held by the  3rd June.

Today’s Feng Shui Tip

Sharp protruding corners are very inauspicious, it is only when you start looking that you realise just how many there are around. Poison arrows are created by the corners and these are especially harmful when they are pointing directly at you. You should check all rooms in your home, especially the bedroom where you spend a third of your life.

You need to block the bad Chi coming out of the corner; you can do this in various ways. The easiest method is to use a large houseplant to cover the corner; this is an effective and fairly inexpensive cure.  Go for a creeper that has large leaves and train it up the corner. Make sure the plant is always healthy and remove any dead leaves immediately.

The other option is to hang a crystal from the corner. I would recommend a plain round faceted crystal, this will shield you and help diffuse the bad energy.

Autumn Equinox

The autumn equinox is fast approaching for tonight at 21.19GMT we slip gently from summer into autumn.

It is just a moment in time where the centre of the Sun can be seen vertically overhead from a point on the Equator. At this pivitol moment the earths axis tilts neither one way or the other, it is a time when day and night are equally long. The Sun now crosses the equator from the Northern Hemispher to the Southern Hemispher. For us we will see the days getting shorter and in the Southern Hemisphere they will just be entering spring.

The Dark Side

There is a New Moon at 18.45pm tonight. This represents the start of a new lunar cycle as well giving us hope for new beginnings.

You cannot see the New Moon because at this point the Sun completely obscures the Moon’s light; it will be visible in a couple of days when it reappears as a beautiful Crescent Moon.

The New Moon helps us move forward, new ideas and projects can be thought about, but wait just a few days before finalising them.  When moving forward make sure you leave the past behind, don’t take baggage along with you, although this is sometimes easier said than done.

Traditionally people make ‘a wish’ on a New Moon, some follow certain rituals to make it special, and others just look towards the heavens. Whichever method you choose it is all about ‘the intent’ that will hopefully make your wish come true.

Jade

In China they call jade the Stone of Heaven, it is said that ‘gold has a value but jade is invaluable’.

The Chinese’s love affair with jade goes back thousands of years.  Considered to have magical properties it was thought to bring about good luck, as well as having the power to distract sinister spirits, and avert terrible luck.

Such was the reverence for jade that the son of Emperor Jing Di was buried in a suit which consisted of 2,498 plates of solid jade connected with 2,500 pounds of gold wire.

Jade has lost none of its popularity and today jewellery and ornaments are widely exported from Asia.

Jade can range in colour from dark to a soft, almost milky white green. Other colours such as a light blue have been found in the USA

Is your glass half full or half empty?

I met up with a friend yesterday. We went for a walk in the lovely autumn sunshine and she gave me a magazine to bring home and read. Besides lots of interesting articles there was a page of ‘wise sentiments’ – here is one of them -You drown not by falling into a river, but by staying submerged in it. – Paulo Coelho.

I totally agree with the sentiment, but it’s not always that easy, is it?  So, I spent a couple of minutes pondering the age old question ‘Is the glass half full or half empty in my life’?

We are all complex creatures; I believe an individual’s life reflects their upbringing and the inner strength they possess.

A friend of mine passed over to the other side this week, she was a wonderful lady who had been ill for some time – yet it seemed her glass was always half full. She would joke, still put ‘her face on’ when she could, and made sure she had lovely mugs for when people popped in for a ‘cuppa’.

‘We all fall into a river at some point in our lives, you just have to look for that overhanging branch and haul yourself out’.

Paulo Coelho was born in Brazil and has written many books, you can find out more about him by visiting his web site www.paulocoelho.com.

Derren Brown

Tonight Derren Brown will reveal how he managed to ‘predict’ the midweek Lotto numbers. I watched the show Wednesday evening, the man in my opinion is a ‘genius’.

So, how do you choose your numbers? Some people say you should avoid birthdays as you will never pick numbers over 31; others say you should not get a ‘lucky dip’ as you have less chance of winning.

I firmly believe it is just ‘luck’.  I know people who are always winning money on the Lotto, Premium Bonds, scratch cards you name it. It may only be small amounts but every little helps as they say.

It seems to me that ‘money always goes to money’.  Maybe the illusion is to mentally think that you are ‘rich’ to bring about better fortune should you want it.   But beware, some millionaire lottery winners have stated that ‘being lucky’ has ruined their lives. They lost friends, family and most of their winnings, so maybe we should be careful about what we ‘wish’ for!

Today’s quote

Do not grieve. Misfortunes will happen to the wisest and best of men. Death will come, always out of a season. It is the command of the Great Spirit, and all nations and people must obey. What is past and what cannot be prevented should not be grieved for… Misfortunes do not flourish particularly in our lives – they grow everywhere.

Big Elk – Omaha Chief.

Rose Quartz

Rose quartz is one of my favourite crystals, Its delicate pink tones are always so pleasing to the eye.

I have acquired over the years many rough unpolished chunks, most comes from Brazil but sources can be found in the USA and India. Unpolished the crystal can have sharp edges, but I just love the way it feels. When polished it is smooth and takes on a different appearance, the colour can vary from almost white to deep pink.

Rose quartz is used to absorb, so I recommend to clients that they place a chunk near electrical appliances, especially computers. It can be quite unobtrusive if you tuck it away, but I actually like to see mine. As it absorbs it is important to cleanse and recharge regularly to get rid of any negativity that has built up.

For romance hang a pair of rose quartz hearts in your relationship area. This should help if you are looking for love or just want to enhance the relationship you are in.

Wearing rose quartz can help with emotional stress; it is readily available in all forms of jewellery at quite a reasonable price.
